Lifetime warrantee means lifetime, right? Could be a bit of a mission to drop it off at the deal er though; probably easier to DIY .
Actually we have this legislation in New Zealand called the Consu mer Guarantees Act, which overrides any manufacturer’s warrantee and says a product must be fit for purpose and fully functional for a reasonable period - leads to all sorts of arguments about w ha t constitutes “reasonable” when you’re talking about indefinite -life items. Doesn’t apply to commercial goods though, which I’m pretty sure this is. And definitely doesn’t apply to cases of “ fell apart due to user error combined with decades of deferred mai n tenance and neglect ”, more’s the pity
